Vagrus Feedback and Coverage Round-up

This week we’re taking a look at an illustrative cross-section of recent feedback we’ve received about the game and highlighting some of the changes that are coming as a result. We pride ourselves on iterating Vagrus and improving the game at every chance we get, even if we can’t always fulfill the more extreme requests of our players and reviewers.

Let’s start by getting into the most surprising and heartwarming feedback we’ve received recently. This one came from a certain French entrepreneur with an impressive resumé on LinkedIn.

Naturally, Monsieur Brabant wrote this post in French, so we’ve translated it into English for our international audience. It appears that he is enjoying the game on a hand-held device in his native language.

It does look quite good, doesn’t it? This isn’t the only example of positivity we get, either. We’ve got a near-constant stream of reviews coming to us through our Discord server, and we are stoked that the vast majority of them are positive. We are praised almost unanimously for the fantastic lore and setting our creative director has developed over the last three decades, which now shine through the carefully crafted atmosphere and content of the game. Often, though, the writing, the complexity, and the management aspects of the game get some love, too – and we cannot overstate how much we appreciate this.

We would, however, be remiss not to mention the negative feedback. And believe me, we get enough of it, too. This feedback, which mostly comes to us in the form of reviews, has different kinds of criticisms to level at us. Sometimes, it’s the sheer quantity of the writing. More often, it is what many perceive to be a brutally challenging game or a poor user experience based on bugs or a lack of explanation of features or mechanics. While we’re not going to delete or rewrite our entire game (as some would suggest), we are more than open to constructive criticism and to introduce changes and additions to Vagrus. Many of our players have made fantastic points regarding issues with the user interface and the gameplay experience. We strive to listen to all feedback and make adjustments accordingly. In that vein, we have another quality of life (QoL) update in the works, and we’ll be releasing it as soon as we can. We’d also encourage you to join us on Discord, where we field questions, queries, and issues every single day; just click the Discord link in the above paragraph.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is it. If people take a liking to this post, we may just make it a regular thing. So, if you like this kind of content – the kind that highlights both the good and bad of our feedback – then share or like this post. We really appreciate it! Otherwise, stay safe, stay vigilant, and conquer the wasteland!
